SUNDAY

EVENTS FOR THE YEAR
http://www.first4gear.com/bikemeet.html
http://www.doctordanger.com/motorbikeroad/events.html EACH DAYS

Caton: Bullbeck Layby. Busy on a Sunday but there'll be bikers here most days of the year when the weather is good. The burger van has been converted into a brick building serving good butties and cakes. If Devil's Bridge is busy on a Sunday this is a good place to stop (the brews are cheaper as well).

Glasson Dock: Most days, but popular as a 'smaller' meet on Sundays. Bikers tend to congregate at the burger van but there is a very nice cafe on the otherside of the swing bridge that do very nice bacon butties.

Hawes: Penny Garth Cafe. A biker friendy cafe, where you can choose from sandwiches and salads, to gut busting fry-ups and, of course, home made cakes.

Hawes: Wensleydale Creamery. You can either eat in the restaurant (try the cheese platter and salad, you'll need to wind the preload up afterwards!) or have a sandwich and/or cake from the cafe counter and sit outside at a bench in the garden. They have their own car park with plenty of parking.

Kirkby Lonsdale: Devil's Bridge. Very popular bike meeting place where you can have a brew, butty, cake or Ice cream. Busy most weekends throughout the year (very busy on summer Sundays) and can be busy during the week in summer and a few brave it mid-week in winter. Brew van closes at about 1700hrs.

Knott End: Popular meeting place for bikers. Every Sunday they meet outside the Bourne Arms between 1000 and 1200 hrs and during the summer meet on Wednesday evenings at the Knott End Cafe (the link shows both locations).

Masham: Black Sheep Brewery visitor centre. Does a really good lunch, have their own car park.

Ormskirk: Hen and Chickens. Very busy during summer months on Wednesday evenings. Sometimes has a police presence due to people pulling 'stunts'.

Penrith/Alston: Hartside Cafe. Very popular throughout the week, but especially weekends in summer. Cracking road from Penrith to Alston!

Reeth: Popular village for bikers to stop for lunch, especially in summer, where you'll find a few cafes, though we normally have lunch in one of the pubs. More importantly there is a cracking Ice cream parlour selling Brymor Ice Cream

Rivington, Bolton: Rivington Barn. A popular bikers haunt near Bolton. The Cafe is very good (though I've only been once). There are the upper and lower barns (shown on map in first link) each is used on different days.

Lydiate (near Formby): Scotch Piper Inn. Popular with bikers on Wednesday evenings during the summer.

Settle: Ye Old Naked Man Cafe. It's just opposite the Town Square (park for free in the square). You can either sit in or sit out on some benches. They do a smashing Cumberland sausage, stuffing and apple sauce butty on a choice of Baps and some great home made cakes.

Sherburn-in-Elmet: Squires Cafe. Very popular bikers venue every day/evening of the week, especially weekends. They also hold weekend events and have a helipad!

Slaidburn, Trough of Bowland: The Riverbank Tea Rooms. Nice biker friendly cafe, next to the car park (where there's free bike parking) on the main road. They do some nice home made pies and cakes.

Southport: Carousel Cafe. At the entrance to the pier. Park right in front of the cafe and arcade (at owners request).

St Annes: Fylde Bike Meet, Monday evenings.
