Wednesday Nights at The Travellers Chapletown

This post has been created because we are using a thread that is entitled "Thursday Travellers" and everyone who posts on it refers to Wednesday and its leads to confusion with newbies. This also has the location of the pub in the first post which helps...It's not a sheffieldbikers event if you read to the bottom our link is to the Hollin Bush on Monday but someone may wish to ride to a pub on Wednesdays


Wednesday Nights at The Travellers Chapletown

Every Wednesday is a bike night at The Travellers Chapletown Sheffield.

The pub is located off Junction 35 of the M1 motorway. Ride down the hill towards Chapletown and take the first right into a small lane that leads up into a wooded area.. the Travellers pub is set back from the main road and is totally out of sight

This is not a sole sheffieldbikers meeting like Superdave's pub

Squires at Sherbern is also on Wednesdays and thats not sole sheffieldbikers either

i have been going for a couple of years now wednesdays are (independant bikers night) but all are made very welcome. i have not been up for a bit with work ect. but will be going up there once the long days start

Actually, the Travellers on Wednesday is the meet for the Sheffield Independent Bikers club...

Ive been loads of times on a Wednesday it is certainly not a members only club....it a normal pub not a club house where bikers go Independent Bikers may use it on Wednesday but I've never had anything less than a full welcome by all of them....very hospitable lot and lots of new visitors every time i've been. This is not a patch gang only place

Any Newbies you are welcome...turn up and see they are a very nice bunch

I didn't say it was a members only club. I pointed out that Wednesday night was always the Independents meeting night. I agree they're a friendly bunch OK and welcome all. They have a few L-platers and younger members, so I would encourage anyone to go along...

The Independents club house is at the rear of the pub.

They even allow patch 'gangs' in....

Sorry Bill .. but ... i am yeah .....I do try to keep everything open to all new and younger bikers...always have done in everything...and i get hypersensitive to the feeling of exclusion of people...its just the way i'm wired....I fight for the underdog and I'm very tenacious,........ most time I wish I wasn't because some on here like Superdave know which buttons to press Thanks for bringing it to my attention Bill

tonight, 28th jan, there's an auction and raffle at the trav's with all proceeds being donated to st lukes hospice. start time is 8pm and is being run by the independant bikers

Look at a map and find junction 36 of the M1.....Get onto the roundabout and then leave towards Chapletown its downhill...the pub is on a road which is the first right as you ride down the hill
