Every Monday at The Bush

Postby supadave » 06 Oct 2009, 16:24

Thanks to everyone who turned up at The Hollin Bush on Monday night, it was great to put some faces to names and of course meet you all   . Nice mixture of people on bikes and others who came for a drink.

What Iam hoping to achieve at The Bush is a meeting place on Mondays, not neccassarily a "bike" meet where everyone turns up on their bikes before or after a rideout, but a place where we can as a forum meet for a face to face chat, kinda social thing really. Nice to see a lot of bikes though.

On the food side of things, the buffet that was on, was a combination of Segers birthday celebration and a way of welcoming you all. There will be free food on every week, which will be along the lines of a chilli, or a curry, or hot dogs, whatever. Something hot anyway. I think I will also put on a tea and coffee making facility throughout the winter months, as in make your own, which I wont charge for but a small contribution to replace the bits when needed wouldn't go a miss, ta.

So once again, thanks for coming down, hope you all enjoyed it and food will be ready for 8pm next week

No kids allowed, sorry, the do gooders again. Apparently, by law I have a duty to keep children from harm. The adults however can drink themselves into a stupor and then kick the livin daylights out of each other :cheesy:

Thats not my pub though, thats other unspeakable venues :) :) :)

Drew, I've changed my mind about the tea coffee thing, soup will be easier for me to do cos I can make it up and I have a soup kettle thingy mi bob that keeps it warm.
That way it dosent mean messing around mashing all the time

As it's a pub don't you have some liquid on tap?

Soups a good idea, but I bet you make a soup that someone doesn't like, sods law will take an hand in that.

Just a suggestion Dave......
What we do for meetings at work is fill up a couple of large flasks with boiling water and then just put out mugs, coffee, teabags, milk and sugar. People can then make their own drinks quite easily. It might work for you on a Monday night too. :)
