First day of many!

Postby Flying Custard » 14 Jul 2012, 21:44

A big hello to everyone!

Just completed my first days training on a Susuki GS 500 down at BikeSafe, absolutely loved it! Mod 1 on Monday and hopefully Mod 2 on the 30th.

Got an ER6n waiting for me in the garage and I can't wait to go out on her. Plan on commuting to Derby 4 days a week but have never had a bike before, little nervous but hope to ride in most weather. Would like to go on a few rides too and meet some few people and wouldn't mind doing some European trips eventually... Anyway, one step at a time!

Welcome Custard.
EQ's a good choice.
Good luck with the tests.

Welcome aboard.

Like your choice in bike. Have had my er6n for 6 weeks or so and love it. Looking at getting on a few rideouts myself but been getting used to the bike first as recently passed my test before I go and play with the big boys :D

Cheers for the welcome guys :-)

Passed my mod 1 on Monday which was nerve racking but went well, one minor as I locked the rear a little on the emergency stop :-/ but it was raining so think I got away with it! Rabbit dropping all over the test area though, anyone else done their test at Rotherham?

Rich, good to hear the ER6's are a popular choice. If/when I pass my mod 2 maybe we should join in on one the rides and represent the newbie ER6 corner!!

Just do us a favour, take it easy on your new bike, it would be a real shame to scratch it :) or worse still lunch it :(

Have been taking it steady, and been keeping to the run-in schedule (mostly!) 205 miles done so far, many more to come!
